This is an on-site, contract position for a CT Technologist located in La Plata, MD. The CT Technologist will be responsible for operating CT imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues. Daily tasks include preparing patients for scanning procedures, ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with radiologists and medical staff for accurate image evaluation. The role also involves documenting procedures and adhering to quality assurance standards.
- Certification or eligibility for certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and proficiency in Radiologic Technology
- Strong knowledge and experience in Radiology and Medicine
- Comprehensive understanding and adherence to Radiation Safety procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients and medical staff
- Ability to follow protocols accurately and maintain a focus on patient care and safety
- Prior experience in CT imaging is preferred
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field is required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain one
