What You’ll Do
As part of the Project Engineering team, you will influence key technical and financial outcomes by providing technical project management, direction, and coordination of engineering activities.
The Generator Project Engineer will:
- Serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal teams, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) representatives
- Ensure design documentation and equipment comply with contract requirements
- Drive coordination and resolution of technical issues for assigned generator projects
- Support continuous improvement in project execution
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the single point of contact for all customer technical inquiries, change requests, and communications related to gas turbine and auxiliary systems
- Drive lessons learned into design engineering teams to prevent repeat issues
- Provide technical guidance to project management and engineering teams
- Lead Customer Kick-Off Meetings (CKOMs) and Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs)
- Review contract documentation and communicate requirements across engineering functions
- Evaluate financial and schedule impacts of scope changes and support change management processes
- Resolve cross-functional design challenges and technical issues
- Mitigate engineering schedule risks and prevent delivery delays
- Manage engineering budgets and provide quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs)
- Support engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and field teams to meet project requirements
- Present project updates, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- OR High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, and/or Field Engineering related to generator projects
