This role requires hands-on coordination of air and ocean imports, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, timely communication with carriers and clients, and accurate shipment documentation. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, overseas agents, customs brokers, and internal operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end import shipments via air and ocean freight
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely arrivals and deliveries
- Communicate regularly with overseas agents, carriers, and customers
- Prepare, review, and process import documentation (B/Ls, AWBs, commercial invoices, packing lists, etc.)
- Handle customs clearance coordination and ensure compliance with U.S. import regulations
- Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and operational issues proactively
- Update internal systems with accurate shipment status and milestones
- Provide exceptional customer service and shipment updates to clients
- Work closely with warehouse, trucking, and drayage providers to arrange deliveries
- Ensure billing accuracy and assist with invoicing and cost verification
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or import coordination
- Experience with both air and ocean freight imports strongly preferred
- Knowledge of U.S. customs procedures and international shipping documentation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency with freight forwarding systems (e.g., CargoWise or similar preferred)
