We are currently recruiting for a dynamic, client-focused Senior Human Resources Associate to join our growing team Part Time with potential to grow into a full time role. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, consultative environment and wants broad exposure across multiple areas of human resources. The Senior Human Resources Associate will serve as a trusted partner to clients and internal team members, providing hands-on support, thoughtful guidance, and practical solutions across employee relations, compliance, compensation, benefits, recruiting, policy development, and special projects.
This individual will work closely with the Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, HR Consultants, HR Associates, and Recruiters to help clients solve real business challenges, strengthen their people practices, and support organizational success.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with clients to provide guidance and support across a wide range of HR functions and day-to-day people matters.
- Advise on employee relations issues, including performance management, investigations, disciplinary matters, terminations, and other sensitive employee situations.
- Help ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and separation-related matters.
- Assist with HR audits and reviews to identify risk, improve processes, and support compliance.
- Support clients with compensation-related needs, including job descriptions, salary benchmarking, pay analysis, and structure development.
- Provide guidance on employee benefits administration and strategy, including open enrollment support and benefits-related planning.
- Consult on recruiting and hiring processes, including screening, interviewing, and overall hiring support as needed.
- Support the senior consulting team with client meetings, presentations, internal initiatives, thought leadership, content development, and brand-related projects.
- Conduct research, gather data, and compile insights to support client projects, internal initiatives, and business coaching engagements.
- Draft and update policies, procedures, employee handbook content, training materials, and documentation for leadership and executive meetings.
- Manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and responsiveness.
- Serve as a secondary (and at times primary) point of contact for select clients, building trusted relationships through strong service, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.
- Contribute to internal People Architects initiatives and collaborative team projects that support the growth of the firm.
Qualifications (Required & Preferred):
- Minimum of 2 years of human resources experience, preferably in a role with broad exposure to multiple HR disciplines.
- Strong working knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to research issues, analyze information, and develop thoughtful, practical solutions.
- Strong client-service mindset with the ability to build credibility and relationships quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Adaptable, resourceful, and energized by solving problems in a consulting environment.
