Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Qualifications:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-12/13 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing the full contracting process-from pre-award to post-award-using formal procedures and negotiation techniques to ensure compliance, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to laws, while providing expert guidance on procurement issues, resolving contract disputes, and recommending solutions for the enhancement or optimization of a naval operations.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:
