Job Description
The Systems Engineer is responsible for developing and executing strategies to meet customer requirements. This role involves requirements analysis, system design, and verification in alignment with ASPICE-compliant development processes. The Systems Engineer acts as a technical interface with OEM customers, ensuring clear communication and delivering robust solutions across multiple engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical liaison with OEM customers, ensuring effective communication and presentation of system concepts.
- Analyze customer requirements from RFQs and transform them into actionable system-level specifications.
- Allocate requirements across mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams, ensuring alignment with standard development processes.
- Develop system-level designs that integrate hardware and software components, meeting functional and safety requirements.
- Oversee system verification and validation activities, including hands-on bench testing at key milestones.
- Manage requirements development, writing, and traceability using industry-standard tools.
- Ensure compliance with ASPICE process steps and internal quality standards.
- Participate in internal and customer design reviews, serving as a subject matter expert for system-level decisions.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues across multiple competencies.
Essential Skills
- 3 years in systems engineering or related roles (automotive, aerospace, defense preferred).
- Solid understanding of automotive systems and embedded software concepts (CAN, ECU testing, etc.).
- Proven ability to develop and manage requirements from scratch, including analysis and decomposition.
- Familiarity with systems development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for customer-facing interactions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to interpret electrical circuits (e.g., filter circuits) and basic software functions.
- Hands-on experience with system testing and validation (white-box or black-box testing).
