Job Description
This role is a highly analytical, collaborative position focused on translating complex data into actionable insights that support cost leadership across Resource Industries. The individual will play a key role in both NPI readiness and cost optimization initiatives, while delivering clear, executive-ready reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing “out-of-process” orders for NPI programs and building visual readiness reports to track progress, risks, and actions
- Driving cost reduction initiatives through:
- Should-cost analysis
- Order quantity optimization
- Similar part analysis
- Multi-source arbitrage
- Creating dashboards and identifying trends in program or project health using tools like Power BI and Excel
- Preparing executive-level summaries highlighting risks, savings opportunities, and performance metrics
- Presenting findings and recommendations in a polished, leadership-ready format
- Supporting project management activities and optimizing sourcing strategies across product groups
- Collaborating cross-functionally with product and category teams to implement cost-saving initiatives
The role operates in a highly collaborative team of ~5 people, with frequent interaction across engineering, product, and category groups. It is primarily onsite (5 days/week).
Qualifications

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, or related) with 4 years of experience
- OR
- Master’s degree with 2 years of experience
- OR
- Associate’s degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience
- Technical degree is required in some capacity
- Relevant backgrounds may include Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Procurement roles
- Internships are accepted as part of experience
Core Skills & Experience
- Strong data analytics capabilities, including:
- Excel (VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts)
- Power BI and dashboards
- PowerPoint for presentations
- Ability to read technical drawings and part numbers
- Experience identifying trends, insights, and cost drivers within large data sets
- Proven ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders
Additional Technical Strengths
- Advanced Excel and full Microsoft Suite proficiency
