Job Title: MongoDB / NoSQL Database Administrator (DBA)
Experience - 7 years
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable MongoDB / NoSQL Database Administrator who can immediately contribute to MongoDB environments and is open to transitioning into a broader NoSQL DBA role. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MongoDB and a strong willingness to work across NoSQL database technologies in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, monitor, and maintain MongoDB databases ensuring high availability, performance, and security
- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching for MongoDB environments
- Handle backup, recovery, replication, and clustering (Replica Sets / Sharding)
- Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize database queries and indexing strategies
- Support development teams with database design, schema modeling, and query tuning
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards
- Participate in on-call support and resolve production issues in a timely manner
- Transition into and support other NoSQL database platforms as required
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB (administration and support)
- Strong understanding of NoSQL database concepts (document-based, key-value, etc.)
- Experience with replication, sharding, indexing, and performance tuning
- Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, or similar) for automation tasks
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Key Requirement (Must-Have):
- Candidate should be able to start working on MongoDB immediately and demonstrate readiness to transition into a NoSQL DBA role across multiple platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other NoSQL databases (Cassandra, DynamoDB, Couchbase, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of data security, backup strategies, and disaster recovery
Soft Skills:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
