We are seeking a skilled Chassis Design Engineer to support vehicle development programs at Lucid. This role focuses on the design, development, and validation of mechanical systems related to chassis components, ensuring performance, durability, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, design, and develop chassis components and mechanical systems
- Create and modify engineering drawings, 3D models, and detailed designs using CAD tools
- Analyze design proposals, specifications, and technical requirements for feasibility, cost, and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, testing, and suppliers
- Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities
- Assist in developing structural designs and system layouts
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with CAD software (CATIA, NX, or similar)
- Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems and chassis design principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication (verbal & written) and teamwork abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in mechanical/chassis design
- Automotive industry experience preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience with EV platforms or vehicle integration
- Hands-on experience with prototype builds and testing
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and tooling
