Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Engine Systems / Calibration Engineer with strong expertise in torque modeling and engine calibration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing and validating models related to engine performance, including pump torque, friction torque, and charge flow modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate engine torque models, including:
- Pump torque
- Friction torque
- Charge flow modeling
- Perform engine calibration and tuning for optimal performance and efficiency
- Work with cross-functional teams to support engine development and testing activities
- Utilize model-based development for system analysis and validation
- Analyze engine data and improve system performance through calibration updates
- Support integration and testing of engine control strategies
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with MATLAB & Simulink
- Hands-on experience in engine calibration and tuning
- Good understanding of torque modeling concepts
- Experience with Calterm or similar calibration tools
- Knowledge of internal combustion engine systems and controls
- Ability to work with large datasets and perform analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in automotive or heavy-duty engine domain
- Familiarity with control systems and embedded software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience:
- 3 years of relevant experience in engine systems / calibration
