Join our dynamic catering team as a Catering Assistant and be a vital part of delivering exceptional food experiences! .... Now for the non-AI version... We are a small, family owned catering company that is growing steadily and organically. We are looking for someone who can be trusted to make dates down the line (one to three or four months out) for a full day of work. We have minimums that we charge our clients to ensure that a day is worth your time and we don't 'call off' people because a headcount dropped.
Our cuisine is fine dining quality but not fussy. We expect positive, humble, servant vibes from all on the crew. After all, some of these events are the most important day of people's lives. If you really have a heart for hospitality and want to show it in a refined, professional setting, we would love to have you.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and safety regulations (ServSafe Food Handler Required)
- Be willing to prep food and serve the events
- Support banquet setups, including arranging tables, linens, and serving stations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the catering area, including kitchens and serving spaces
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene standards
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Prior experience in fine dining, catering, or food service environments is highly desirable but not required
- Be willing to take correction as we aim for the highest service standards. We will never instruct you to do anything we don't do and we provide reason for our methods. You will be asked to do things for the crew, not for us as managers.
- Experience in serving at events or banquet settings is a plus
- Be willing to learn and keep the knowledge of both the traditional and modern dishes that we serve.
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
