What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator Assistant position at Pennwood Products?
Job DutiesResponsibilities:
Handwipe mouldings according to specifications.
Assist operators in various functions to aid in production. Catching, feeding, and other duties as assigned.
Additional duties required during downtime:
- Cleaning the machines / areas to maintain safety and quality product
- Moving carts of material
- Loading / Unloading racks of moulding
- Assisting with machine set up when possible
When necessary, may be required to work performing the following functions:
- Cleaning of production equipment in other departments
- Assisting other work centers based on need
Required Qualifications:
- Must be able to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and when appropriate, participate in modification of SOP to improve productivity and quality of product.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Must have good communication skills and a strong work ethic
Working Conditions:
- Standing for the entire shift
- Eye protection is required at all times and hearing protection in areas deemed necessary.
- Fast paced and quality, quantity-driven
