MOBILE AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC

Get with Spiffy and go mobile! As part of our fleet servicing crew as an Automotive Mechanic, you'll travel between locations, performing an array of services such as preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing vehicles while ensuring compliance and keeping a line of communication open between customers and internal teams. Must be willing to work in ALL weather conditions. If you prefer a temperature controlled environment, this job may not be ideal BUT If you are all about TEAMWORK, maintaining ATTENDANCE and excelling in INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION, come join the Spiffy Team!

SHIFT: 8am-5pm With Weekend Availability

• Competitive pay ranging from $40-$45/hr. DOE (Non Flat-Rate) paid weekly
• $1500 Sign On Bonus Paid Out In 3 Increments Over 90 Days ($250, $250, $1000)
• $1/hr. Increase after 90 days based on performance

Requirements

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and potential problems.
• Diagnose and repair various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, and HVAC.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to analyze vehicle malfunctions and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Provide accurate estimates for repair costs and time required for completion.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
• Test and verify repaired vehicles to ensure proper functioning and customer satisfaction.
• Keep up-to-date with industry advancements, technical manuals, and service bulletins.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
  
  

WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?

• Must be 18 years or older with the ability to drive
• Must be an energetic self-starter willing to work in all weather conditions to include but not limited to hot and cold temperatures, rain, snow, and sleet.
• At least 5 years working experience as an Automotive Mechanic with a strong understanding of vehicle systems and components.
• Familiarity with diagnostic and repair manuals such as ProDemand with the ability to interpret and follow specifications.
• Must be patient, persistent, and possess problem-solving skills, especially when it comes to challenging repairs.
• Must supply your own basic tools
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance techniques
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods;
• Must be able to lift and move inventory items and other work-related items (up to 50 pounds);
• Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods;
• Must be able to push, pull, bend at the knees and waist, lift, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, climb steps, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, all of this for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the day.

This job will involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, dust/dirt and exhaust fumes.
