POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNICIAN (ONE-ON-ONE AIDE) (FULL-TIME)
2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR AND BEYOND IF NEEDED
PENNSAUKENP CAMPUS
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Two years of higher education earning 30 or more credit hours; or an Associate’s (or higher) degree;
or having met a rigorous standard of quality, as determined by the New Jersey Department of
Education, that demonstrates through a formal assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in
reading, writing and mathematics instruction or reading, writing and mathematics readiness.
2. Hold county substitute teacher certificate.
3. Successfully undergo a criminal history check and proof of the U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien
status.
4. Meet the health qualifications required of all personnel.
5. Meets NJ residency requirements or willingness to relocate to NJ within 365 days of employment.
6. Must follow the guidelines of the Camden County Technical Schools' Nepotism Policy, File Code: 0142.1.
Salary is based on education and experience according to the Board of Education of the Camden County Technical Schools and Cam/Voc Education Association Agreement Salary Guide - $36,078-$46,531.

POSITION GOALS:
To assist the teacher in achieving instructional objectives by working with individual students and groups of students to help them achieve maximum levels of proficiency in academic and occupational performance.
REPORTS TO: Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clerical Functions:
1. File teacher or student materials.
2. Maintain list of instructional supplies on hand.
3. Keep a constant stock of supplies on hand for class use.
4. Maintain records pertaining to distribution and inventory of books, supplies, and equipment.
5. Correct homework, workbooks, objective tests, and reports results to the teacher.
6. Prepare instructional materials.
7. Keep records and charts, such as attendance and seating.
Managerial Functions:
1. Assist with supervision of students in safe and proper use of tools.
2. Assist with school related activities.
3. Set up and operates audio visual equipment.
4. Set up learning areas and arranges instructional materials for accessibility.
5. Assist with supervision of student cleanup time and maintains bulletin boards.
6. Keep classroom appropriately maintained.
7. Maintain arrangement and storage of classroom furniture and instructional materials.
8. Provide feedback to teacher on encounters with students.
9. Assist with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies and field trips.
Instructional Support:
1. Assist with supervision of students’ activities as directed by teacher.
2. Present materials as requested by teacher.
3. Present materials within students’ comprehension.
4. Exercise control over areas of responsibilities and relates well with students.
5. Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills
initially introduced by the teacher.
6. Assist the teacher in devising strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding
of individual students, their needs, interests and abilities; assist the teacher in fulfillment of IEP
requirements.
7. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students.
8. Perform all other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.
