What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graduate Structural Engineer position at Pennoni?
Pennoni is currently looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer to work in our Philadelphia, PA office with experience consistent, but not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform structural design & analysis of building structural systems.
- Design and detailing of structures for low-rise & high-rise buildings with a variety of materials (i.e.: concrete, steel, masonry, and timber).
- Develop finite element models for the analysis of complex structures.
- Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
Basic Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related technical discipline (i.e.: Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- F.E. / E.I.T. is a plus!
- Completion of relevant coursework in structural analysis, concrete, masonry, and steel design is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with engineering / CADD tools; experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit BIM is a plus!
- Working knowledge of structural analysis software; experience with RAM, STAAD, ENERCALC, and/or Mathcad is preferred.
- Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong attention-to-detail skills with the proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracy.
- Proven ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
