What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graduate Engineer - Water & Wastewater position at Pennoni?
We are looking for a Graduate Engineer to contribute to our Municipal Infrastructure / Water & Wastewater projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Winter Haven, FL.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the planning, modeling, analysis, and design of public works infrastructure projects with a focus on wet utilities (e.g.: wastewater collection & conveyance systems, water distribution & facilities, water and wastewater treatment, master planning, etc.).
- Prepare construction drawings and permit applications; this involves coordinating design activities with other design disciplines, researching materials & equipment, and providing support to colleagues in the water/wastewater and municipal market sectors.
- Contribute to planning, design, permitting, and construction oversight of projects.
- Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably a BS in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering); recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
- FE / EIT (we will consider candidates who are able to successfully complete their FE within 6 months of their start date).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 0.5 to 5 years engineering and/or intern experience preferred.
- Proficiency with engineering tools, experience with (AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenFlows WaterCAD and WaterGEMS) is a plus!
- Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
