Job Responsibilities:
Pennoni is currently seeking full-time and part-time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors for off-site fabrication shops in the Greensboro, NC area that produce bridge and highway products for transportation agencies – we work regionally AND nationally!
Required experience is consistent with, but not limited to:
- Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials
- Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications
- Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers
- Production of daily written shop reports
Required Attributes:
- Minimum Education: High School
- Minimum years of experience: 3
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector
- Computer Skills: Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work well independently and with others
- Need reliable transportation
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience performing QA/QC of bridge fabrication.
- Non-Destructive Testing [NDT] certifications (e.g.: UT, MT, PT).
- Experience performing QA/QC of bridge and highway structures fabrication.
- AWS D1.1/D1.5 Experience.
- Coating Inspection experience
