What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Welding Inspector (Structural Steel) position at NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC?
NOVA Engineering is seeking a Full-Time Certified Welding Inspector for our Raleigh, NC office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
- Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
- Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
- Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
- Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
- Input results and observations into daily reports
Requirements:
- Current AWS CWI is required
- NDT Level II UT Shearwave a plus
- ICC certifications in Structural Masonry, Structural Steel, Reinforced Concrete are a plus
