The Dealer Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, market penetration, and dealer performance for PennCovers’ automatic pool cover solutions within an assigned territory. This role functions similarly to a Territory Sales Manager within the pool industry, with a concentrated focus on dealer recruitment, enablement, training, and long-term partnership development rather than direct-to-consumer sales.
The position serves as the primary commercial and technical liaison between PennCovers and its authorized pool builder and dealer network, ensuring consistent specification, proper installation practices, and profitable growth of automatic pool cover sales.

Location: KY, MD, OH, PA, WV, VA
Status: Full-Time
Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 in addition to a Sales Incentive Plan with a target pay of 22.5% of base pay.
Key Responsibilities
Dealer Growth & Revenue Development
- Own and execute a territory business plan to achieve annual sales, margin, and growth targets for automatic pool covers
- Grow market share by expanding specification and adoption of PennCovers’ automatic pool covers among pool builders and dealers
- Identify, recruit, onboard, and develop new authorized dealers within the territory
- Drive incremental revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and conversion of competitive cover systems
Dealer Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned dealers, maintaining strong, long-term partnerships
- Conduct regular dealer business reviews focused on sales performance, pipeline development, forecasting, and growth opportunities
- Collaborate with dealers during their sales process to support specification, pricing strategy, and contract inclusion of automatic covers
- Act as a trusted advisor on product positioning, ROI, and best practices
Training, Education & Enablement
- Deliver in-person and virtual dealer training on product features, benefits, installation standards, warranty processes, and sales best practices
- Support dealer sales teams with technical knowledge, objection handling, and competitive differentiation
- Ensure dealers understand and properly communicate warranty requirements and product value to end customers
