The production lead will assist the supervisor/production manager in coordinating tasks of work based on production schedules and client demands.
Responsibilities:
- Assigns workers to workstations to meet production requirements.
- Interprets process specifications for workers.
- Monitors production and adjusts work assignments, supply of material, and machine operation when necessary.
- Reports machine repairs to maintenance personnel.
- Confers with supervisor or production manager to receive instructions and exchange production information.
- Monitors quality to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Train employees on safety rules and policies and ensure they are followed.
- Assists in training production employees on work processes and production reporting.
- Monitor work areas for safety and take immediate action to correct any potential unsafe conditions or behaviors.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or relatable environment
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing leadership
- Must be able to obtain forklift certification
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Able to walk/stand for >8hrs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- MUST demonstrate the desire and aptitude to take Extreme Ownership of their role
