Responsibilities
- Work closely with more experienced team members and participate in training provided to improve skills and knowledge in assigned area.
- Report to work on-time with a positive attitude, follow the instructions of your team leader, and be ready to learn and accomplish tasks.
- Have a true desire and a focus toward your job.
- Gain a better understanding of the knowledge and skills necessary for a Machinist.
- Perform well by meeting supervision expectations on the shop floor.
- Ask relevant questions and ask for help with processes or tasks not understood. Communicate with your trainer. Be open and honest in communications.
- Implement and follow all safety and quality plans in accordance with company programs and policies.
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in a high school vocational technical school in a Machine Technology related program.
- Must be in good academic standing at their school.
- Excellent math & mechanical skills/aptitude; and the ability & desire to do precision work is required.
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, precision measurement tools, and machining is expected.
- If under the age of 18, must have a work permit
