Penn United Technologies, Inc. is now accepting applications for part-time Co-op positions in our Tooling Division for the 2025-2026 school year. The Co-op will work closely with experienced team members to gain practical experience, a better understanding of the industry, and improve their skills through training.
We are looking for high school students who are currently enrolled and excelling in a high school Machine Technology vocational technical program and are seeking an engaging hands-on work experience to enhance their classroom learning. Our Co-op Program has a demonstrated history of developing students and growing their skills in their pursuit of a career in manufacturing.

Responsibilities:
- Report to work on-time with a positive attitude and ready to learn and accomplish tasks.
- Have a true desire and a focus toward your job.
- Gain a better understanding of the knowledge and skills necessary for a Machinist or other Journeyworker program.
- Remain open to learning different machining and grinding operations throughout the co-op period.
- Work on the shop floor in order to learn required tasks.
- Perform well by meeting supervision expectations on the shop floor.
- Ask relevant questions and ask for help with processes or tasks not understood. Communicate with your trainer. Be open and honest in communications.
- Implement and follow all safety and quality plans in accordance with company programs and policies.
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in a high school or vocational technical school in a Machine Technology related program.
- Must be in good academic standing at their school.
- Excellent math & mechanical skills/aptitude; and the ability & desire to do precision work is required.
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, precision measurement tools, and machining is expected.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and take notes.
- If under the age of 18, must have a work permit.
- Shift: typically daylight
