Penn Steel Fabrication is an AISC Certified structural steel fabrication company. Since 2009, we have manufactured structural steel products for major public and private infrastructure projects throughout the Northeastern United States.
Our products include structural steel for buildings, bridges, bridge components (including built-up girders), overhead sign support structures, toll gantries, bridge railings, beam guide rails, noise/sound wall posts, walkways, piles, and many other steel components used in highway and infrastructure projects.
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily fabrication operations in our structural steel facility and lead a team of approximately 30 shop employees involved in fabrication and assembly.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities in a structural steel fabrication shop
- Plan and coordinate daily and weekly fabrication schedules
- Ensure fabrication work is completed according to approved shop drawings, project specifications, and quality standards
- Provide leadership, direction, and technical guidance to shop personnel
- Monitor production progress and provide regular status updates
- Coordinate material receiving, inventory management, and shipping
- Ensure safe work practices and maintain an organized shop environment
- Work closely with project management and quality control teams to resolve production issues
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a structural steel fabrication environment required
- Experience with bridge components and built-up girders preferred
- Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred
- CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification preferred but not required
- Spanish speaking proficiency preferred but not required
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
