SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for assisting with, coordinating and completing tasks associated with the Surgical Pathology Gross Room. Gross Room tasks include evaluation of patient tissues, dictation of gross findings, dissection of tissue and the preparation / submission of tissue cassettes for histological preparations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s Degree in biological science (medical technology, histology, cytology, certified school of mortuary science, etc.) or equivalent plus 3 years of clinical experience required. Some knowledge of anatomy and physiology required. Must have a demonstrated ability to perform and organize work under routine and unusual circumstances.
