Job Opportunity:
Penn State Health seeks a Pathology Medical Director to provide oversight of a 2 pathologist practice providing both AP/CP pathology services at a 108-bed community hospital. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a community hospital setting is preferred.
The successful candidate will receive an academic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology and join a strong, collegial department of 40 faculty in Clinical, Anatomic, and Experimental Pathology. This individual will participate in on-site resident and fellow teaching. Board-certification or Board-eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania are required for the position. Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology, or Anatomic Pathology Subspecialty is desirable. Backup coverage and consultation with both AP/CP pathologists will be provided by Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center (PSHMC) Pathology faculty.
