Job Description

• PURPOSE OF JOB: Provide comprehensive healthcare services to adult GI patients in the hospital and outpatient settings.

• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
• Provide patient care to GI patients in the in-patient and outpatient setting.
• Perform and supervise clinical area using multiple modalities in the in-patient and outpatient settings
• Able to communicate effectively with providers, patients, nurses and other support staff verbally, in writing and/or via EMR.
• Maintain accurate EMR records and documentation.
  
  

Provide support to the office clinical staff in regards to patient care and educational needs.

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Education:
  
  

If PA: 1. Bachelor of Science degree in a physical science from an accredited institution required

• Current Physician Assistant licensure in Pennsylvania
• NCCPA certified
• Prescriptive authority determined by supervising physician- (newly hired has 30 days to obtain)
• CPR & BLS
  
  

If NP: 1. Masters of Nursing degree from an accredited institution required

• Current Pennsylvania licensure required:
• Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Prescriptive Authority
• Board certified NP or board eligible NP
• CPR & BLS
