- PURPOSE OF JOB : With consideration for age-specific responsibilities to include infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric, anticipate the needs of our patients, referring physicians and hospital associates by providing MRI safety information and advice. Schedules, registers and provides financial services. Provides this seamless activity through the collaboration of patients, physicians, payers and other hospital services.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Schedules MRI procedures.
- Screens all patients for ferrous and RF-sensitive material before scheduling.
- Provides financial counseling for all patients.
- Registers MRI patients at time of service.
- Monitors completeness of patient account.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Education: High School or equivalent is required
- Experience: 3-5 years of patient scheduling, or billing experience preferred
- Other Skills: Excellent customer skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
