Job Description
PURPOSE OF JOB :
To assist with all aspects of care for patients in Interventional Radiology, including but not limited to: assisting Physicians and Physician's Assistant, performing procedures under direct and indirect supervision of Radiologist, operating and maintaining all imaging equipment, providing direct patient care and educating patients, family members and staff. Ensures all paperwork and imaging are adequately completed and given to the radiologists for interpretation.
Trouble shoot equipment issues, schedule down time for repair and preventative maintenance.
Professional Growth and Development : Attend monthly meetings and educational in-servicing to enhance professional and personal knowledge and awareness. Maintain required certifications and licenses. RT(R)(VI) , BLS
Job Qualifications
Education :
Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology, registered by ARRT
Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification (VI) completed or willing to sit for the exam within 2 years of starting at Doylestown.
Experience
Current experience in Interventional Radiology is required
Current BLS certification

- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Patient Care : Provide care to patient and assist physician during procedures, communicate proper information to other staff members, perform IR procedures following established protocols, anticipate physician needs, ensure sterility and radiation safety and complete exams in a safe and efficient manner.
- Product and Equipment : Maintain par levels for essential product, stay up to date on new and changing product information, maintain competency with existing product.
Trouble shoot equipment issues, schedule down time for repair and preventative maintenance.
- Patient Documentation and Departmental Records : Complete patient chart updates,
- Departmental Coordination : Trouble shoot; perform daily maintenance/quality checks; organize work flow , maintain department supplies. Actively participate in and support department quality initiatives and fiscal goals.
