Job Description
Performing monitoring of the effectiveness of all sterilization processes according to Policies and Procedures and by following the AAMI, AORN, CDC, and OSHA guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS :

- PURPOSE OF JOB :
Performing monitoring of the effectiveness of all sterilization processes according to Policies and Procedures and by following the AAMI, AORN, CDC, and OSHA guidelines
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Demonstrates knowledge and technical skills in decontamination and processing of instruments, scopes, equipment, and supplies. (25%)
- Demonstrates knowledge of surgical instruments and technical expertise in identification, care, and handling and inspection for proper working prior to sterilization. (25%)
- Demonstrates knowledge and technical skills in operating sterilization equipment. (25%)
- Demonstrates knowledge of Standard Precautions (15%)
- Demonstrates positive team relationship and communication skills and contributes to create a cohesive and productive environment (10%)
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- If hired or transferred into position after 12/28/20, must pass an accredited program through National Commission for Certifying Agency, which is administered by one of the following agencies and must maintain or obtain (within 6 months of hire):

Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor - CBSPD
- Experience:
- One year of experience preferred.
- Other Skills:
- Good communication, customer relationship skills a plus.
- Knowledge of instrument tracking system and/or use of computer.
