What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN), Med/Surg position at Penn Highlands Healthcare?
AS A REGISTERED NURSE (RN), MED/SURG,you’ll be relied upon to provide total nursing care within our Medical/Surgical Unit. We provide round-the-clock coverage and deliver care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. You will need to effectively interact and communicate with patients, significant others and all other health care team members while maintaining established standards of Professional Nursing.
***$20,000 Sign-on/Retention Bonus available for Qualified Candidates***
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a current Pennsylvania RN License or Temporary Practice Permit
- Have current CPR certification or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Have ACLS (preferred)
- Have good communication skills
- Have previous Acute Care experience (preferred)
- Have medical systems computer experience (preferred)
- Be a team player
