Penn Equipment is seeking a motivated and experienced Service Technician / Automotive Technician to join our growing team.

Position Overview

This is a full-time, in-person position that offers a mix of shop and field service work. Many days you'll work independently as a field technician performing maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and customer support on a variety of equipment.

Candidates with an automotive technician background often excel in this role, as their skills transfer well to diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various types of equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Read and interpret product manuals, service information, and technical documentation
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Use computers and electronic diagnostic systems for troubleshooting
• Travel to customer locations to perform service and repairs as needed
• Assist customers with equipment operation, maintenance questions, and technical support
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must own a basic set of hand tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Automotive, diesel, agricultural, construction equipment, or related repair experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently
• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
