Intern

Job Description: Penn E&R is seeking a full-time Engineering Intern (student) at our Pittsburgh, PA office. You will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of tasks across all of Penn E&R’s market sectors and be expected to perform both office-based and field-based assignments. Qualifications include: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering underway Schooling and/or work experience in the following is a plus: Hydrology and hydraulics Erosion and sediment controls Stormwater management controls AutoCAD Civil 3D You will gain practical work experience including: Preparation of site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, post-construction stormwater management plans, and land development/subdivision plans Hydrology and hydraulic and drainage calculations Erosion and sediment control design Stormwater management calculations Post-Construction Stormwater Management BMP design Infiltration Testing AutoCAD/Civil 3D and standard drafting techniques and applications with experience in the preparation of the following: Creating 3-D surfaces Grading plans Profiles/cross-sections Pipe networks and corridors Working with Project Managers to coordinate with clients and prepare proposals This is a full-time position.
