Position Summary:
LinkTool is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven, Regional Manager to lead our sales efforts. As the Regional Manager, covering the Chicago area, you’ll collaborate with teams that do truly amazing things.
This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to expand our customer base, increase revenue, and support long-term business growth in the precision machining and manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of precision components, CNC machining, and custom manufacturing services.
Qualifications:
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted markets, including aerospace, automotive, defense, and medical
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers
- Lead and manage the sales team, providing training, direction, and performance feedback
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate quoting and feasibility of customer requirements
- Oversee the preparation of customer proposals, RFQs, and contract negotiations
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments
- Maintain CRM system with up-to-date lead, customer, and activity data
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior leadership
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of B2B sales experience in a manufacturing or precision machining environment
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, materials, tolerances, and quoting
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events as needed
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a job shop or contract manufacturing environment
- Technical background or machining knowledge
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards
