What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Health Room Nurse position at Penn-Delco?
The job of the Health Room Nurse is to implement assigned and delegated portions of the school health program, including but not limited to clerical, first-aid and illness care functions under the direction of the building principal and the certified school nurse.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
-Current licensure as a nurse from the state of Pennsylvania.
-Current CPR and AED certification.
-Experience working as a school nurse or pediatric nurse preferred.
-Ability to perform general clerical skills, to include PC proficiency, access electronic medical records, management and organizational skills.
-Ability to know when to seek the advice of certified school nurse and/or administration.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Current Criminal Record, Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances.
-RN license preferred.
