What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Nurse (HRLA) Districtwide position at Penn-Delco?
The job of the Health Room Nurse is to implement assigned and delegated portions of the school health program, including, but not limited to, clerical, first aid, and illness care functions, under the direction of the building principal and the certified school nurse.
Up to 29 hours/week
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
-Current licensure as a nurse from the state of Pennsylvania.
-Current CPR and AED certification.
-Experience working as a school nurse or pediatric nurse preferred.
-Ability to perform general clerical skills, to include PC proficiency, access electronic medical records, and management and organizational skills.
-Ability to know when to seek the advice of a certified school nurse and/or administration.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Current Criminal Record, Child Abuse, and FBI Fingerprint clearances.
-RN license preferred.
