What are the responsibilities and job description for the Practical Nursing Instructor position at Penn Commercial Business/Technical School?

Registered Nurse who has plans to obtain a BSN needed as instructor for Practical Nursing program. All applicants must have at least three years nursing experience.
Duties of instructor/clinical instructor:
Instructs classes and /or clinical in areas of expertise or as needed. Develops instructional plans to assist students in application of theory to clinical areas. Maintains correct attendance records and assists students in meeting attendance objectives Maintains proper discipline and follows disciplinary policies. Instructor grades and critiques assignments based on subject matter. Clinical instructor is responsible to assign and grade nurses’ notes, care plans, data collection sheets, and any clinical specialty assignments .Arrive at clinical facility prior to start of shift to make assignments, survey patients and staff to insure meeting of objectives for the clinical experience. Classroom instructors are responsible to follow pre-set curriculum. Instructors are responsible to make assignments and tests based on material presented. All lectures must meet the objectives of the syllabus.
