Assembly

Pay: $17.75 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time

• Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Overtime as required

Penmac Staffing is hiring for Assembly positions with a manufacturing client. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with tools, learning new skills, and contributing to the production of quality products in a fast-paced environment. Daily tasks may vary and provide opportunities to develop new skills while working as part of a team.

Requirements for the Assembly Position

• Previous assembly, manufacturing, production, construction, or related experience is helpful but not required
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, safety procedures, and work instructions
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and battery-powered tools
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work safely while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Assembly Responsibilities

• Assemble components according to production specifications and assembly sequences
• Use drills, drivers, hand tools, and other production equipment safely and effectively
• Complete production documentation accurately
• Follow daily schedules and assignments while meeting quality and productivity standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Support team goals while maintaining accountability for assigned work
• Follow all workplace safety procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements for the Assembly Position

• Stand for the majority of a 10-hour shift
• Frequently bend, squat, push, pull, and lift
• Occasionally kneel, climb stairs, and reach above shoulder level
• Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Work in various positions, including overhead work and confined work areas as needed

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
• Fast-paced production setting
• PPE required, including safety glasses and cut-resistant gloves when applicable
• Frequent overtime opportunities based on production needs
