As a Human Resource Generalist, you will be responsible for executing key HR operational processes and supporting core HR functions. This role administers employee health and wellness plans, executes bi-monthly payrolls, handles leave administration, plans company events, and assists employees with HR requests or questions.

Your Responsibilities
As a Human Resource Generalist, you will be responsible for executing key HR operational processes and supporting core HR functions. This role administers employee health and wellness plans, executes bi-monthly payrolls, handles leave administration, plans company events, and assists employees with HR requests or questions.

Your Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, system optimization, user support for reporting, workflows, and process improvements. Leading system implementations if decisions are made to change systems.
- Updating electronic employee records and employee files as changes arise (new hires, terminations, promotions, pay changes, etc.)
- Preparing for and processing the bi-monthly payrolls in both the United States and Canada
- Processing employee benefit changes internally and with vendors including but not limited to life changing events, new hires, and terminations
- Executing benefit annual open enrollment for employees to make changes to benefit elections which includes close partnership with Penlink’s benefit broker and vendors, frequent and clear internal communication, and processing changes with vendors and payroll
- Preparing and distributing 1095s
- Communicating employee changes to managers, IT, and other stakeholders as needed
- Leading the wellness incentive program and initiatives by communicating to employees, vendors, and payroll
- Evaluating current HR processes and determining ways to be more efficient using technology
- Executing the semi-annual performance process by communicating to managers and employees, setting up the process in the system, running reports, and completing follow ups
- Partnering with HR Team to onboard and offboard employees
- Researching labor laws, both federal and state/local, in the United States, Canada and additional countries as needed to ensure compliance
- Administering FMLA and other leaves for employees
- Creating and maintaining employee handbooks and policies
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

- High level of integrity to be able to handle sensitive data and confidential information
- Excellent customer service to both internal and external individuals
- Problem solving, collaboration, and communication skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business-related degree preferred
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources
- Previous work experience serving others or problem solving
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products
