Job Summary
Rear Load Packer Driver / Roll Off Driver needed immediately for busy private sanitation/ recycling facility.
Duties
- Safely operate rear loader, and roll-off trucks in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws
- Load, unload, and transport waste and construction materials
- Drive route schedules efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report mechanical issues promptly
- Assist with the collection of garbage from commercial sites while providing excellent customer service
- Maintain accurate logs of daily routes, loads, and disposal activities for record-keeping purposes
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL class B) with necessary endorsements
- Proven experience driving heavy-duty trucks such as garbage trucks and roll offs.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot issues
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety protocols related to commercial trucking and solid waste management
- Excellent driving skills with defensive driving techniques to ensure safety on busy routes
- Prior delivery driver experience or route driving background is highly desirable
- Must be able to pass random DOT drug tests
