POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a gaming floor, including both table games and slots. Ensures profitability, compliance with state laws, and excellent customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following statements are intended as an overview of key responsibilities of the work for this position and are not all inclusive:
- Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests. Demonstrates the Cedar Crossing culture in all interactions with guests and co-workers.
- Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations.
- Ensures compliance with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations.
- Responsible for creating and fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.
- Leads the hiring, training, development and supervision of table games and slot departments Team Members and processes.
- Oversees all casino operations, including the performance of slot machines, table games, and betting shops.
- Handles customer complaints and disputes.
- Ensures compliance with Internal Control Policies and Procedures.
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.
- Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
- Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
Slots Operations (Approx. 80% Focus)
- Oversees all aspects of slot operations, including performance, floor layout, product mix, and revenue optimization.
- Analyzes slot performance metrics (hold %, coin-in, win per unit, occupancy) and implements strategies to maximize profitability.
- Collaborates with slot vendors regarding new game installs, conversions, leasing agreements, and floor optimization opportunities.
- Manages slot floor layout, signage, and merchandising to enhance guest engagement and traffic flow.
- Monitors and adjusts slot pricing strategies including denomination mix, hold percentages, and promotional configurations.
- Oversees technical slot operations including machine uptime, preventative maintenance, and coordination with slot technicians.
- Leads slot-related marketing initiatives in partnership with marketing (free play, tournaments, loyalty programs).
- Evaluates emerging gaming technologies and recommend new slot products and innovations.
Table Games Operations (Approx. 20% Focus)
- Provides operational oversight and support for table games, ensuring strong pit performance and exceptional guest service.
- Reviews KPIs including drop, win, hold %, and labor efficiency; recommend improvements as needed.
- Partners with Table Games leadership on staffing models, scheduling, and game mix optimization.
- Monitors high-limit and VIP play to ensure premium guest experience and service standards.
- Supports execution of table games promotions, events, and player development initiatives.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures for the gaming floor.
- Ensures all games table games are conducted fairly and within the established rules and regulations.
- Authorizes and supervises the table games fills, credits and comps. Assures proper completion of currency transaction reporting paperwork as require by federal regulation.
- Rates customer table game activity and identifies high roller action.
- Reviews table games closing and shift change procedures to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) to ten years of progressive experience in the gaming industry required. Experience working in the slot department required; knowledge of all table games required. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Ability to work in an intense, fast‑paced environment requiring a high degree of concentration. Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas and to make independent decisions.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

- Knowledge of all table games and slot floor operations.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of Team Members, guests and outside contacts.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
- Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.
- Obtain and maintain required license(s).
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member’s department.
- Have knowledge of property programs to address problem gambling.
- Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls.
- Take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member of which they have knowledge.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Must have ability to:
- Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently.
- Lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds.
- Work long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels, may be exposed to secondhand smoke and varied light levels, including flashing lights.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend for entire shift.
- Use typical office equipment such as copier, monitors, mouse, keyboard, etc.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission License
Valid driver's license with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience
Serve Safe Certification
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Will supervise employees. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit(s).
