Duties
- Vigilantly monitor swimming areas to prevent accidents and respond promptly to emergencies
- Enforce safety rules and regulations to maintain a secure environment for all patrons
- Conduct routine inspections of pool facilities, including water quality, equipment, and safety gear compliance
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring immediate response to injuries or health issues
- Communicate clearly with guests regarding safety procedures and pool rules to promote awareness
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, safety checks, and daily activities in compliance with facility policies
- Assist with pool cleaning, chemical testing, and other maintenance tasks to uphold health standards
Requirements
- Valid certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid from recognized organizations
- Knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards related to aquatic safety
- Familiarity with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines is a plus for handling sensitive health information responsibly
- Understanding of EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations concerning water quality and chemical use
- Ability to assess vital signs such as pulse rate and breathing patterns during emergencies
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests, team members, and emergency responders
- Prior experience or training in compliance management within safety or aquatic environments is advantageous
