Position: Industrial Security Specialist
Clearance: Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance is required and current within the last five years
Work Location: Wright Patterson AFB, OH
Work Hours: Monday through Friday onsite (Regular Full-time)

Position Summary
As a Industrial Security Specialist, you will support the protection of classified information under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) for a DoD customer in Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. This role focuses on classification management, contract security, and compliance with applicable federal security directives. The specialist will execute and coordinate security activities across Security Classification Guides (SCGs), DD-254 requirements, and public release processes while supporting SAP and collateral programs.
Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:
- Support development, coordination, maintenance, and biennial review of Security Classification Guides (SCGs) for collateral and SAP programs
- Process and track SCG change requests, including drafting responses and coordinating with government and contractor stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with classification guidance under Executive Order 13526 and applicable DoD policies
- Draft, review, and maintain DD-254s for prime and subcontractors
- Validate DD-254 accuracy, facility clearance levels, and safeguarding requirements
- Maintain DD-254 records and support contract security compliance
- Review public release submissions (articles, media, technical content) for security compliance
- Coordinate with Public Affairs Office (PAO) on release approvals and process updates
- Update Security Operations Manual sections related to public release
- Support security requirements for domestic and international program locations (“beddown sites”)
- Assist with secure facility accreditation processes and monitor security compliance until accreditation is achieved
- Communicate applicable physical and technical security standards
- Support Critical Program Information (CPI) identification and assessments
- Assist in tracking Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) plans and implementation
- Track and support required training (e.g., OCA training compliance)
- Coordinate with government, military branches, and industry partners to resolve security issues
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; or
- Associate’s degree plus 4 additional years of relevant work experience; or
- High school diploma (or equivalent) plus 6 additional years of relevant work experience
- Minimum 5- 8 years of industrial security experience supporting DoD or NISP environments
- Working knowledge of:
- NISPOM
- DoD Manual 5205.07
- Executive Order 13526 and predecessor orders
- Experience drafting or managing DD-254s
- Experience supporting SCG development, updates, or coordination
- Familiarity with classification management, contract security, and public release processes
- Strong written communication skills (technical writing, coordination memos, guidance)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
- Active Top Secret clearance (within 5 years)
- Ability to obtain Industrial Security Oversight Certification (CDSE) within one year of hire
- Eligible for issuance of a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must be able to work onsite at Wright-Patterson AFB
- Completion of initial and ongoing security training is required.
- Must meet client suitability.
