Friendly supportive law firm in Camden Maine is seeking the right person to join a growing Midcoast Maine elderlaw and trust law firm to assist legal document drafting and preparation.
Ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working in process with a team, enjoys using computer applications and can work independently. The Paralegal works with Attorney and Client Coordinator to ensure smooth preparation and signing of legal documents. Also fields low-level legal questions.
Daily tasks include:
Assist in Drafting legal documents including wills, trusts, deeds, corporate docs, probate court forms, state agency forms, tax forms.
Type data into computer, draft, proofread, manage production of documents, and answer basic legal questions.
Incorporate attorney revisions
Maintain and organize document drafting resources
Contribute to improvement of document drafting process
Final document production, printing for signature
Monitor files in Word Processing for errors/discrepancies
Answer questions emailed or phoned for Client Coordinator to respond to clients
Supervise file-storage
Skills and Experience:
3 years of administrative/clerical support experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required; experience with client relationship management software preferred.
Process-driven person required.
Ability to take direction and to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail.
