What you will do
- Perform technical safety reviews of systems, processes, equipment, and operations
- Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments using structured methodologies
- Evaluate safety impacts of system changes, modifications, and field conditions
- Develop and maintain hazard logs, risk matrices, and mitigation strategies
- Provide technical advisory support on safety risks, system performance, and compliance
- Prepare safety reports, hazard analyses, and technical evaluations
- Analyze safety data and trends to identify emerging risks and improvement opportunities
- Support audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance documentation
- Participate in field reviews, site visits, and operational observations
- Coordinate with safety, engineering, operations, and maintenance teams
What you bring
- 5 plus years of experience in safety analysis, risk assessment, or technical safety roles
- Experience in transit, transportation, infrastructure, or regulated environments preferred
- Experience conducting hazard analyses or safety assessments
- Experience preparing technical reports and documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
- Working knowledge of safety management systems and risk mitigation practices
- Familiarity with OSHA, FTA, or similar regulatory frameworks
Nice to have
- Experience with system safety methods such as hazard analysis or FMEA
- Experience supporting rail, bus, or multimodal transit systems
- Certifications such as ASP, CSP, SMS, or engineering licensure
- Experience with safety-critical systems or infrastructure
- Experience building dashboards or data-driven reporting tools

Compensation
$40.87 – $55.29 Hourly, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications
