Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks and manual transmission trucks to deliver products to customers across designated routes.
- Load and unload shipments using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring products are handled with care and accuracy.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to maintain safety standards and report any issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering products professionally, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction upon delivery.
- Manage inventory within the warehouse, including moving stock, organizing storage areas, and maintaining accurate records of shipments.
- Follow all route driving protocols, traffic laws, and safety procedures to ensure timely deliveries and safe operations.
- Assist with warehouse duties such as heavy lifting, organizing supplies, and preparing orders for dispatch.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong focus on route driving and customer service.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to obtain one preferred.
- Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and moving items safely.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to driving, loading/unloading cargo, and warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects repeatedly throughout shifts.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management and delivery documentation.
