Member Service Representative
The role of the Member Service Representative will be assisting our members with their financial needs including, but not limited to, receiving all loan applications, reviewing credit reports, and processing independently through to closing. They will also be responsible for promoting and cross-selling Pelican's products in a way that is beneficial to our members. This position has the potential to earn monthly incentives based on attaining and exceeding sales goals.

A Day in the Life of a MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
- Performing routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
- Maintaining a strong working knowledge of Pelican State CU's products and services.
- Balancing transactions and verifying cash totals, investigating and resolving out-of-balance conditions.
- Entering loan applications, closing and disbursing all consumer loan types.
- Efficiently and accurately backing up tellers when needed, including balancing the cash drawer at the end of the day.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience including lending, teller, or call center experience with a financial institution. Must have a strong background in sales.
- All candidates must be eligible to be licensed to sell all necessary insurance products.
- Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills.
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
- Travel: Travel is not necessary for this position.
- Work Site Location: All work will be performed at our Jackson Branch located at 2637 Highway 10, Suite A, Jackson, LA 70748.
