New Patient Concierge (Dental Front Office / Phones)

Pay: $24 - $29.50 per hour.

Pelican Landing Dental is a family-owned, concierge-level practice, and the way we answer the phone is where that experience begins. We're hiring a New Patient Concierge to be the warm, welcoming voice new patients hear first. You'll handle incoming new-patient calls, answer their questions, put them at ease, and help them take the first step toward care by getting them scheduled.
This is the opposite of a high-volume, corporate call center. We take our time with people. Every caller gets a white-glove experience: someone who listens, builds trust, and makes them feel like they've found the right dental home.
What you'll do
- Answer incoming new-patient calls with warmth, patience, and genuine care
- Understand what each caller needs and guide them toward booking their first visit
- Help patients understand our practice and what makes it different from a typical office, including how our fee-for-service model and insurance reimbursement work (we'll teach you all of this)
- Follow up with patients so no one falls through the cracks
- Keep clean, accurate notes in our practice software
What we're looking for
- A naturally warm, outgoing personality. The kind of person who has never met a stranger
- Excellent communication and a polished, caring phone presence
- Experience in a dental office, or a real interest in dentistry and the drive to learn it
- Customer service experience where people genuinely felt taken care of
- Comfortable talking with patients about their care and, when it comes up, the cost of treatment
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable learning new software
A note on what this role really is: we measure success by how many new patients decide to book with us, so there is a goal attached to this seat. But we find the people who are best at it aren't "salespeople," they're people who truly care, listen well, and help patients feel confident choosing us.
