What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Paralegal (Full-time or part-time) position at Pelella Law P.C.?
We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our team! The ideal candidate must is highly organized and self-motivated, reliable and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is preferred
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage real estate transactions from contract through closing, including preparation, review, and organization of all required documentation for residential, commercial, and lender transactions
- Coordinate closely with attorneys, clients, real estate agents, lenders, and internal staff to ensure smooth and timely closings
- Review title commitments and policies; communicate and follow up with title insurance companies as needed
- Prepare accurate and complete legal documents and closing packages
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with all parties throughout the transaction process
- Perform administrative tasks such as drafting correspondence, answering phones, filing, scanning, and document management
- Maintain electronic and physical files in accordance with firm procedures
- Provide additional support to attorneys and staff as needed.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of four years of real estate paralegal experience preferred.
- Familiarity with local real estate practices in Broome County is a plus.
- Excellent word processing skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and Google Drive;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage competing deadlines
- Proficiency with standard office and document management systems
