Summary/Objectives: The warehouse supervisor will develop and implement the strategic direction of the warehouse, receiving and material handling departments. This position supervises and coordinates all activities of workers responsible for picking, receiving, material movement, local deliveries and back patio storage area. The supervisor is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the department. The warehouse supervisor will oversee employee training and ensure that the employees meet acceptable performance standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Develop and implement strategic growth plan for department and be able to present the vision to management.
- Develop and execute performance measurement systems to monitor employee productivity and goal achievement.
- Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality at assigned work location
- Develops work procedures; prepare work schedules and expedite workflow.
- Manage staffing levels, assign duties and examine work for quality and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Responsible for effective management of assigned employees, including but not limited to, development, coaching, problem resolution, disciplinary actions, and employee reviews. Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
- Maintain inventory stored in the warehouse and throughout the production areas.
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of part transactions.
- Issue written and oral instructions.
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers and cost savings.
- Assist employees with work process problems.
- Responsible for ensuring all incoming materials are received and put away correctly.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a lean 5S standard and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Manages the movement of materials in the production areas.

Education and/or Experience:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of warehousing supervisor experience. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse storage strategies and material movement methodologies.
- Knowledge of lean supermarkets and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective picking and storage of manufactured and purchased goods.
- Knowledge of, and familiarity with, enterprise planning systems.
- Efficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a warehouse and receiving department of a manufacturing company with a high mix of product configurations.
- Experience designing and implementing product stocking methods and efficient material handling procedures.

- Standing and walking for long periods of time. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Lifting up to 40lbs unassisted and occasionally lift and/or move heavier items utilizing a team lift.
- Repetitive use of hands/motion and have manual dexterity, finger dexterity, and multi-limb coordination.
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, respirator mask, coveralls.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne contaminants, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Work environment is not climate-controlled. The noise level may exceed permissible exposure limit and hearing protection may be required. Mechanical equipment and moving objects.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-Time. Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4:45AM – 3:45PM. May require overtime based on business needs.
Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
