Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Super / Foreman to manage Public & Private projects on construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in excavation operations and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards.
Duties
- Supervise excavation activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Coordinate and manage the operation of heavy machinery including bulldozers, dump trucks, loaders, and water trucks.
- Oversee site preparation, including digging, paving, and grading to meet project requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and maintenance.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, equipment usage, and workforce activities.
- Train and mentor crew members on safe operating procedures and best practices in excavation work.
Skills
- Proficient in operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, dump trucks, loaders, and water trucks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Experience in commercial driving is preferred for transporting materials on-site.
- Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders on-site.
